Phew! I’m beat. I don’t know why, but the closer i get to finishing production on Minushi the more ridiculous detail i find myself putting into it… Maybe on a subconscious level i’m trying to put off completing this project. Mind you, it would have to be a really, really subconscious level because, seriously, i’m really anxious to be done with it!

Anyway, i’ve been really wanting to get something new out to all of you still eager enough to be reading this (and i love you, you’re fantastic) and so very soon i will have something to show you. Not a new episode mind you, but by the end of this week i’m hoping i can get some new footage out to you.

Word on the distribution front is slow in coming but i’m happy to say there is action on that front and i hope it won’t be too long before i can stand before you with some good news about Minushi in its feature length form.

The months are just flying by aren’t they? Used to be a new chapter of Minushi was released every month now i’m lucky to put out a screen shot. But that said, things haven’t slowed down on the production end of things and the movie is still set to be completed by the end of the summer. In the meantime, i do hope to get a new trailer out which will certainly have some new footage in it but that may be a while yet. I don’t like to write cheques i can’t cash… But eventually! Eventually. So in lieu of that, here’s an image that i’m pretty happy with that i thought i’d share. I don’t mean to tease but the effect is even nicer on a large screen with the clouds drifting slowly by…

I’m almost afraid to report on Minushi’s progress these day just to avoid the now all too familiar (yet oh, so satisfying) question: “When’s the next episode coming out?” Because in truth, i don’t know.

With an increased emphasis on preparing Minushi in its feature form, i’ve become a little less concerned with regular online chapter updates. For the most part i’m doing this because i get emails from people telling me they’d love a DVD copy of Minushi more often than i get people asking for Minushi to be a series bound exclusively to the internet. So with that in mind, i hope you all continue to show the remarkable patience you’ve shown for this project so far. Good things are coming.

Work on Minushi continues as ever, with a targeted date of completion by late Summer 2006.

In the past few weeks work has been primarily focused on getting the Minushi DVD Demo prepared for mailing to potential distribution companies. The demo contains the first 67 minutes of Minushi in its feature length form, which includes some footage that’s never been seen online. The demo has come out looking fantastic and is making its way to the various distributors who have expressed interest in the movie.

The demo is not available to the public, though through the necessary time taken to prepare it, we will see Minushi released as a feature length motion picture in due time.

I know what you’re thinking… Why is this jackass screwing around with Photoshop when he should be working on the next Minushi Chapter! Well it’s all part of the master plan and in this case part of the launch of the Minushi Press Information section.

Yup, narcissistic, self indulgent, desperately hopeful that anyone in the media will care? You bet. But that’s show business and like it or not you’ve gotta play the game just a little bit. Because when buzz finally comes down there’s nothing worse than being caught with your pants down. Been there and believe me, if you miss out you lose out.

So yeah, me superimposed into a cartoon. It’s so tacky it’s awesome. To all entertainment reporters out there, bring it on. Let’s talk Minushi.
