Refrain will premiere at Montreal's World Film Festival August 28th
Three screenings are scheduled for Refrain, a feature film about independent music and cyclical violence.
MONTREAL, QC - Aug 19, 2009 -- Refrain, a truly independent Canadian feature film will make its screen debut Friday August 28th (5pm) at Cinema Quartier Latin as part of this year's World Film Festival, held in Montreal.
Refrain is a movie about the musical struggle of a young woman bound in an abusive relationship. The film explores the challenges of the independent musician through a modern story about cyclical violence. It is the first live-action feature film by writer/director Tyler Gibb who is best known internationally for his animated movies that include the hand-drawn animated epic, Minushi (2007).
Gibb, as well as principal members of the cast, will be in attendance at this premiere screening. The film will also be screened on Saturday August 29th (10am) and Sunday August 30th (7:10pm) at the same venue.

of the festival saw an attendance of 385,000 filmgoers. The 32nd edition of the festival will be held from Aug. 27th to Sep. 7th, 2009 in Montreal.
